Eastern marriages are very popular and total of religious customs and rituals that celebrate the union of two individuals. Depending on the culture and church, the practices vary significantly, but many Eastern cultures have a lot of customs and rituals.

The Chinese Chai Service

After the bride festival, or occasionally the next day, the brides serve tea to their relatives. This is a symbolic gesture to show appreciation and respect for the love and support they have received throughout their lives from their families and predecessors. The couple also offers their parents red envelopes filled with money ( also called hong bao ) as a symbol of good luck.

This entertaining custom can be performed either before or after the marriage service. During the procession, the groom and his posse did light firecrackers, hit gongs, and hold lanterns and banners to ward off evil spirits and welcome their new wife dating indian women. The groom and his entourage are typically denied a view of the bridal home until they turn in adequately reddish envelopes or chi bao to fulfill their hosts when they arrive at the bride’s home.
